C&rsquo;est une prouesse impressionnante. Mais cela a \u00e9galement sem\u00e9 la confusion \u2013 chez les aviateurs, les navigateurs et les amateurs de plein air \u2013 quant \u00e0 savoir si un smartphone peut d\u00e9sormais remplacer une balise de d\u00e9tresse personnelle (PLB) d\u00e9di\u00e9e, telle que la <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/fr\/products\/rescueme-plb1-balise-de-detresse-personnelle\/\">rescueME PLB1<\/a><\/strong> .  <\/p>\n\n<p>\u00c0 premi\u00e8re vue, les deux syst\u00e8mes semblent avoir la m\u00eame fonction\u00a0: appeler \u00e0 l\u2019aide en cas de panne dans un endroit isol\u00e9. Mais en situation r\u00e9elle \u2013 vents violents, temp\u00e9ratures glaciales, traumatismes, fortes pluies, v\u00eatements tremp\u00e9s, batterie faible ou urgence qui \u00e9volue rapidement \u2013 \u200b\u200bles diff\u00e9rences entre le syst\u00e8me SOS par satellite d\u2019un smartphone et une balise de d\u00e9tresse personnelle (PLB) deviennent cruciales. Source\u00a0: cospas-sarsat.com <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>Lorsque vous activez la balise PLB1, votre signal de d\u00e9tresse est transmis <strong>directement<\/strong> aux autorit\u00e9s nationales de secours via Cospas-Sarsat, sans interm\u00e9diaires ni attente de confirmation. Les satellites MEOSAR d\u00e9tectent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement la balise en moins d&rsquo;une minute. <\/p>\n\n<p>Cospas-Sarsat est le syst\u00e8me satellitaire international, g\u00e9r\u00e9 par les gouvernements, qui d\u00e9tecte et achemine les signaux de d\u00e9tresse \u00e9mis par les balises de 406 MHz (PLB, EPIRB, ELT) vers les services de secours \u2013 un service gratuit pour l&rsquo;utilisateur. Lorsqu&rsquo;une balise est activ\u00e9e, elle transmet un identifiant num\u00e9rique unique (et, pour les mod\u00e8les \u00e9quip\u00e9s d&rsquo;un GPS, des coordonn\u00e9es pr\u00e9cises). Ce signal est capt\u00e9 par les satellites et transmis aux stations au sol (terminaux utilisateurs locaux), qui g\u00e9n\u00e8rent un message d&rsquo;alerte et le transmettent \u00e0 un centre de contr\u00f4le des missions (MCC). Les vall\u00e9es escarp\u00e9es, la canop\u00e9e foresti\u00e8re, les temp\u00eates, une batterie faible ou tout simplement des mains engourdies peuvent interrompre la connexion. Le syst\u00e8me fonctionne, mais son efficacit\u00e9 d\u00e9pend fortement de l&rsquo;utilisateur, des conditions environnementales, de la disponibilit\u00e9 des satellites et du niveau de batterie restant du t\u00e9l\u00e9phone.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Dans les situations d&rsquo;urgence o\u00f9 chaque minute compte \u2014 immersion en eau froide, blessures h\u00e9morragiques, hypothermie, ensevelissement sous une avalanche ou urgences nocturnes en mer \u2014 la fiabilit\u00e9 fait la diff\u00e9rence entre une vie sauv\u00e9e et une vie perdue.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-iphone-emergency-sos-works\">Comment fonctionne l&rsquo;appel d&rsquo;urgence de l&rsquo;iPhone\u00a0?  <\/h2>\n\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me SOS par satellite d&rsquo;Apple repose sur <strong>Globalstar<\/strong> , un op\u00e9rateur commercial de satellites en orbite terrestre basse (LEO).
