un claquement retentissant qui a secou\u00e9 nos sens.\nLe regard d\u2019Idun se fixa sur le m\u00e2t, qui avait commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 pencher sous le vent.\nIncr\u00e9dule, elle nous a appel\u00e9s, et ensemble, nous nous sommes rassembl\u00e9s dans le cockpit.\nCe que nous avons vu nous a laiss\u00e9s stup\u00e9faits et craintifs : le m\u00e2t s\u2019\u00e9tait bris\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on spectaculaire juste au-dessus du pont, sa forme massive s\u2019\u00e9tendait maintenant le long de la coque, la frappant sans piti\u00e9 au rythme implacable des vagues.     <\/p>\n\n<p>\u00c0 cet instant, nous avons su que nous \u00e9tions dans une situation d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n<p>Rapidement, nous avons mis en branle un effort fr\u00e9n\u00e9tique mais coordonn\u00e9.\nAvec d\u00e9termination, nous avons coup\u00e9 toutes les lignes, en veillant \u00e0 ce que tout se d\u00e9roule librement.\nEn m\u00eame temps, nous avons activ\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/news\/what-is-an-emergency-position-indicating-radio-beacon-or-epirb\/\">l\u2019EPIRB <\/a>(Emergency Position Indicator Rescue Beacon), car nous ne pouvions pas \u00eatre certains si le m\u00e2t ou d\u2019autres d\u00e9bris avaient perfor\u00e9 la coque.\nUne t\u00e2che ardue nous attendait lorsque nous avons pris une scie \u00e0 m\u00e9taux \u00e0 l\u2019avant, travaillant \u00e0 couper l\u2019\u00e9tai qui s\u2019accrochait encore avec t\u00e9nacit\u00e9.\nLes haubans du c\u00f4t\u00e9 restant, ceux du flanc au vent, furent l\u00e2ch\u00e9s, et le m\u00e2t descendit dans les abysses de l\u2019Atlantique.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Notre route changea, nous recul\u00e2mes maintenant vers les Canaries, et nous engage\u00e2mes le moteur pour nous propulser sur notre trajectoire modifi\u00e9e.\nIdun a attrap\u00e9 le t\u00e9l\u00e9phone satellite, a appel\u00e9 notre contact d\u2019urgence, qui avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 alert\u00e9 par les garde-c\u00f4tes norv\u00e9giens.\nQuelques instants plus tard, les services de secours de Madrid nous ont contact\u00e9s pour nous demander si nous avions besoin d\u2019aide.\nApr\u00e8s une v\u00e9rification approfondie de l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la coque, confirmant qu\u2019elle restait \u00e9tanche, nous avons pu relayer le message indiquant que le signal de d\u00e9tresse pouvait \u00eatre annul\u00e9.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Au milieu de l\u2019\u00e9preuve, la <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/products\/epirb1\/\">rescueME EPIRB1<\/a>, notre lueur d\u2019espoir, a fait ses preuves.\nCela a fonctionn\u00e9 sans probl\u00e8me, incitant notre contact d\u2019urgence \u00e0 agir et d\u00e9clenchant un appel du centre de secours de Madrid.\nC\u2019\u00e9tait un rappel rassurant que m\u00eame dans les situations les plus \u00e9prouvantes, lorsque l\u2019inattendu se produit en pleine mer, une pr\u00e9paration et un \u00e9quipement fiable peuvent faire toute la diff\u00e9rence.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Avant d\u2019embarquer pour notre circuit de l\u2019Atlantique, nous avions pris une d\u00e9cision cruciale : acqu\u00e9rir l\u2019Ocean Signal <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/products\/epirb1\/\">rescueME EPIRB1<\/a>.\nC\u2019\u00e9tait un ajout indispensable \u00e0 notre voyage, un filet de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 qui nous r\u00e9confortait en p\u00e9riode de troubles.\nBien que nous n\u2019ayons pas besoin d\u2019aide cette fois-ci, nous avons reconnu l\u2019importance de cet appareil essentiel.\nIl avait \u00e9t\u00e9 notre gardien dans un moment autrement p\u00e9rilleux, ce qui t\u00e9moigne de sa fiabilit\u00e9 et du confort qu\u2019il offrait dans une situation difficile.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Avec deux membres d\u2019\u00e9quipage, nous avons embarqu\u00e9 pour notre voyage de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria \u00e0 la Martinique \u00e0 bord de notre voilier bien-aim\u00e9 Scanmar 33 de 1986.
