Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 21st to 24th May 2015,
Ocean Signal / All Sat Communications, Stand 116
All Sat Communications is presenting three new Ocean Signal products for the first time at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show – the award-winning rescueME MOB1, the rescueME EDF1 Electronic Distress Flare and the rescueME EPIRB1.
The world’s smallest AIS MOB device with integrated DSC, the Ocean Signal rescueME MOB1 has been designed to integrate easily into even the most compact life jackets, ready for automatic activation in the event of a man overboard situation.
Once the rescueME MOB1 is activated, it transmits an alert to all AIS receivers and AIS-enabled plotters in the vicinity. The integrated 66-channel GPS ensures accurate position data is sent back to the boat and any other vessels assisting in the recovery for a minimum of 24 hours. The plotter will show a red circle plus longitude, latitude, and distance and bearing to the person in distress. In addition, the DSC VHF alarm will also be triggered. The integrated strobe light with moulded lens ensures the survivor can be seen easily in poor light conditions.
At 30% smaller than other similar products, the lightweight and easy-to-use rescueME MOB1 measures just 134mm (height) by 38mm (width) by 27mm (depth) and weighs 90g.
The rescueME MOB1 can be easily installed by the purchaser to automatically triggered the moment the life jacket is inflated, sending the first alert within 15 seconds.
Operating within a temperature range of -20°C and +55°C, the rescueMe MOB1 has a comprehensive self-test facility and features a seven-year battery life.
The Ocean Signal rescueME MOB1, which was recognised in the Safety category of the 2015 SAIL Magazine Pittman Innovation Awards, has a RRP of $449.
