Ocean Signal Appoints New U.S. Rep Groups

Communication and safety at sea specialist Ocean Signal has appointed three Representative Groups to support the growing U.S. distribution of its rescueME range of recreational marine electronic products.

Announced at the 2015 Progressive Miami International Boat Show, the Rep Groups will focus on the award-winning new rescueME MOB1, the compact new rescueME EPIRB1 and the established rescueME PLB1.

The new Ocean Signal product representatives are: Bruce Hackett Company, in Maryland, with responsibility for the Mid-Atlantic region; Charles A. Perry & Company, in Florida, which will cover the South East, Gulf Coast and Mid-West; and California-based West Coast Sales for the West Coast and New England. All three companies will sell the product range to regional distributors and support Ocean Signal’s expanding dealer network.

James W Flynn, Co-Founder of Ocean Signal, said: “The U.S. market for recreational products is the largest in the world and it is important to have the best sales force.

“All three Rep Groups have been selected on the criteria of having an excellent reputation, integrity and a deep knowledge and understanding of the American market which they have built up over the years.”

Sales of Ocean Signal’s SafeSea range of GMDSS professional products will continue to be handled exclusively through Datrex Inc., which will also act as one of the growing number of distributors of the rescueME range.

Ocean Signal introduced two new products in the rescueME range at this year’s Miami International Boat Show. The Pittman Award-winning rescueME MOB1 is a man overboard device incorporating AIS and DSC, while the rescueME EPIRB1 is the world’s smallest EPIRB. They join the versatile rescueME PLB1, which is the world’s smallest personal locator beacon.
