Med tiden identifierade tillsynsmyndigheter tv\u00e5 v\u00e4xande problem: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00d6verbelastning av AIS-kanaler<\/strong> \u2013 AIS-kanalerna 1 och 2 \u00e4r fr\u00e4mst avsedda f\u00f6r fartygstrafik och s\u00e4kerhetsrelaterad kommunikation. Emellertid b\u00f6rjade ett \u00f6kande antal autonoma maritima radioenheter (AMRD), s\u00e5som fiskeredskapsmark\u00f6rer och AIS-fyrar, \u00f6versv\u00e4mma n\u00e4tverket med signaler. Detta v\u00e4ckte oro f\u00f6r att kritisk navigationsdata skulle kunna bli sv\u00e5rare att uppt\u00e4cka eller prioritera.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Begr\u00e4nsad varningskapacitet<\/strong> \u2013 Tidigare AIS-baserade MOB-enheter f\u00f6rlitade sig p\u00e5 att n\u00e4rliggande fartyg lade m\u00e4rke till AIS-m\u00e5let som visades p\u00e5 deras plotter. I hektiska eller stressiga situationer kunde denna varning g\u00e5 obem\u00e4rkt f\u00f6rbi. Genom att kr\u00e4va DSC-n\u00f6dlarm (Digital Selective Calling) s\u00e4kerst\u00e4ller klass M-standarden att n\u00e4rliggande VHF-radioapparater avger ett h\u00f6rbart larm, vilket avsev\u00e4rt \u00f6kar chansen att n\u00f6dsituationen uppt\u00e4cks omedelbart.    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om Ocean Signal MOB1 har DSC-n\u00f6dlarm (den inneh\u00e5ller en DSC-s\u00e4ndare), inneh\u00e5ller den inte en DSC-mottagare (vilket g\u00f6r att MOB1 inte uppfyller klass M-kraven). Baserat p\u00e5 klass M-f\u00f6rordningen som tr\u00e4dde i kraft den 1 januari 2025 introducerade Ocean Signal MOB2 vid den tidpunkten f\u00f6r att ha ett klass M AIS MOB-alternativ tillg\u00e4ngligt. Svaret varierar beroende p\u00e5 land, men den \u00f6vergripande trenden g\u00e5r mot fullst\u00e4ndig klass M-\u00f6verensst\u00e4mmelse. I flera europeiska l\u00e4nder kan enheter som inte \u00e4r klass M-kompatibla inte l\u00e4ngre s\u00e4ljas eller licensieras, och i vissa fall har deras anv\u00e4ndning redan f\u00f6rbjudits. (Det bevisar inte att inga existerar, bara att de inte dyker upp i offentliga tillsynsmyndigheters meddelanden eller i vanlig b\u00e5tlivsbevakning.) <\/p>\n\n<p>I Storbritannien, vid tidpunkten f\u00f6r den f\u00f6rsta publiceringen av denna blogg (mars 2026), anger The Office of Communications (Ofcom) webbplats att licensinnehavare kan forts\u00e4tta att anv\u00e4nda MOB-enheter som inte \u00e4r av klass M p\u00e5 AIS 1 och AIS 2 efter den 31 december 2024 enligt Ship Radio License \/ Ship Portable Radio License, medan Ofcom l\u00e4gger fram f\u00f6rslag f\u00f6r att fasa ut det tillst\u00e5ndet. ( <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/spectrum\/radio-equipment\/licensing-updates?\">www.ofcom.org.uk<\/a> ).<\/p>\n\n<p>Det h\u00e4r betyder att man inte beh\u00f6ver oroa sig f\u00f6r befintlig utrustning i Storbritannien, men nya ink\u00f6p b\u00f6r vara av klass M f\u00f6r att vara framtidss\u00e4kra. ( <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingworld.com\/yachts-and-gear\/what-the-m-class-ais-beacons-get-a-new-rulebook-158070\">Yachting World<\/a> )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201dDen verkliga uppgraderingen \u00e4r DSC + AIS: h\u00f6rbart larm + visuellt m\u00e5l.\u201d<\/strong> Branschmeddelanden fokuserar starkt p\u00e5 den praktiska f\u00f6rdelen: Klass M-enheter kombinerar AIS-m\u00e5let (plotter\/sj\u00f6kortssiktbarhet) med en VHF DSC-varning som kan utl\u00f6sa h\u00f6gljudda larm p\u00e5 radioapparater inom r\u00e4ckh\u00e5ll. ( <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingworld.com\/yachts-and-gear\/what-the-m-class-ais-beacons-get-a-new-rulebook-158070?\">Yachting World<\/a> )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8221;Det h\u00e4r handlar om att skydda AIS-kanaler fr\u00e5n \u00f6verbelastning.&#8221;<\/strong>  M\u00e5nga inom branschen n\u00e4mner \u00f6kningen av icke-n\u00f6ds\u00e4ndare &#8221;utanf\u00f6r fartyg&#8221; (mark\u00f6rer etc.) och behovet av att h\u00e5lla AIS tillf\u00f6rlitlig f\u00f6r s\u00e4kerhet och navigering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201dKanal 2006 \u00e4r kontroversiell eftersom den inte \u00f6vervakas rutinm\u00e4ssigt.\u201d<\/strong> En viktig diskussionspunkt \u00e4r att kanal 2006 (160,900 MHz) \u2013 som anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r andra AMRD-kategorier \u2013 inte kommer att \u00f6vervakas av allm\u00e4nna sj\u00f6farts-\/kuststationer som en del av GMDSS, vilket \u00e4r anledningen till att klass M (AIS 1\/2 + DSC 70) ses som den \u201dr\u00e4tta\u201d MOB-v\u00e4gen. ( <a href=\"https:\/\/docdb.cept.org\/download\/4055?\">docdb.cept.org<\/a> )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201dDet r\u00e5der fortfarande f\u00f6rvirring \u2013 s\u00e4rskilt kring var regler g\u00e4ller och vad som h\u00e4nder med \u00e4ldre enheter.\u201d<\/strong> Den brittiska diskussionen har i synnerhet kretsat kring Ofcoms \u00f6verg\u00e5ngsposition (fortsatt anv\u00e4ndning under licens nu, f\u00f6rslag om utfasning), vilket har minskat \u201dpaniken\u201d men \u00f6kat fr\u00e5gorna \u201dvad exakt ska jag k\u00f6pa h\u00e4rn\u00e4st?\u201d.
