{"id":6909,"date":"2023-02-01T14:22:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-01T14:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/news\/nederlandsk-sjoman-tvingas-overge-yacht-2022-arc-emergency-highlights-livraddande-epirb\/"},"modified":"2024-09-30T14:30:20","modified_gmt":"2024-09-30T14:30:20","slug":"nederlandsk-sjoman-tvingas-overge-yacht-2022-arc-emergency-highlights-livraddande-epirb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/sv\/news\/nederlandsk-sjoman-tvingas-overge-yacht-2022-arc-emergency-highlights-livraddande-epirb\/","title":{"rendered":"NEDERL\u00c4NDSK SJ\u00d6MAN TVINGAS \u00d6VERGE YACHT 2022 ARC EMERGENCY HIGHLIGHTS LIVR\u00c4DDANDE EPIRB"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Den holl\u00e4ndska kaptenen Menno Schr\u00f6der talar f\u00f6r att uppmana alla seglare att b\u00e4ra en <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/products\/epirb1\/\">Emergency Position Indicating Radio Bea<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/products\/rescueme-epirb1\/\">con<\/a> (EPIRB) och ber\u00e4ttar om r\u00e4ddningen av X-Yacht 4.9 <em>Brainstorm <\/em>under f\u00f6rra \u00e5rets ARC (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldcruising.com\/arc\/event.aspx\">Atlantic Rally for Cruisers<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n<p>Ett \u00e5r senare, n\u00e4r deltagarna i ARC januari 2023 slutf\u00f6r kursen, s\u00e4ger den erfarne seglaren att pr\u00f6vningen belyste hur yachtens 406 MHz Ocean Signal <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/products\/rescueme-epirb1\/\">rescueME EPIRB1-enhet<\/a> kan ge en p\u00e5litlig livr\u00e4ddande anslutning till r\u00e4ddningsmyndigheterna n\u00e4r det beh\u00f6vs som mest.<\/p>\n\n<p>Den 18 januari 2022 var f\u00f6rstag\u00e5ngsdeltagaren Menno, som var en av fyra bes\u00e4ttningsmedlemmar ombord, nio dagar in i rallyt fr\u00e5n Gran Canaria till St Lucia n\u00e4r en n\u00f6dsituation f\u00f6rklarades, vilket tvingade dem att aktivera EPIRB.<\/p>\n\n<p>Efter en frustrerande start p\u00e5 t\u00e4vlingen med svaga vindar minns Menno en &#8221;perfekt dag f\u00f6r segling&#8221; med vind som m\u00e4tte cirka 15 kt och en svallv\u00e5g p\u00e5 2,5 meter n\u00e4r bes\u00e4ttningen tappade kontrollen \u00f6ver styrningen.<\/p>\n\n<p>Han sa: &#8221;N\u00e4r vi tog ner seglen f\u00f6r att unders\u00f6ka uppt\u00e4ckte vi snart att rodret inte l\u00e4ngre satt i topplagret och att b\u00e5ten hade f\u00e5tt strukturella skador och att vatten hade kommit in.
