{"id":6479,"date":"2023-10-30T19:10:52","date_gmt":"2023-10-30T19:10:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/survivor-stories\/rescueme-epirb1-aktiveras-efter-att-masten-gatt-sonder-under-atlantpassage\/"},"modified":"2025-03-06T08:17:10","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T08:17:10","slug":"rescueme-epirb1-aktiveras-efter-att-masten-gatt-sonder-under-atlantpassage","status":"publish","type":"survivor-stories","link":"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/sv\/survivor-stories\/rescueme-epirb1-aktiveras-efter-att-masten-gatt-sonder-under-atlantpassage\/","title":{"rendered":"rescueMe EPIRB1 aktiverad efter mastbrott under Atlanten"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Med tv\u00e5 bes\u00e4ttningsmedlemmar p\u00e5b\u00f6rjade vi v\u00e5r resa fr\u00e5n Las Palmas de Gran Canaria till Martinique ombord p\u00e5 v\u00e5r <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scanmarinternational.com\/\">\u00e4lskade 1986 Scanmar 33 segelb\u00e5t<\/a> .\n Jag minns att solen sj\u00f6nk under horisonten den fj\u00e4rde dagen och kastade en sp\u00f6kande skymning \u00f6ver v\u00e5gorna n\u00e4r vi stod vid rodret.\n V\u00e5r b\u00e5t gled f\u00f6rsiktigt i motvind, det revade f\u00f6rseglet drev oss i cirka 5 knop, n\u00e4r en of\u00f6rutsedd katastrof intr\u00e4ffade.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Kv\u00e4llens tystnad krossades av ett olycksb\u00e5dande ljud &#8211; ett rungande kn\u00e4pp som fick v\u00e5ra sinnen att rycka.\n Iduns blick f\u00e4ste vid masten, som hade b\u00f6rjat luta i vinden.\n I misstro ringde hon oss och tillsammans samlades vi i sittbrunnen.\n Det vi s\u00e5g gjorde oss h\u00e4pna och r\u00e4dda: masten hade brustit spektakul\u00e4rt precis ovanf\u00f6r d\u00e4cket, dess massiva form str\u00e4ckte sig nu l\u00e4ngs skrovet och dunkade skoningsl\u00f6st till v\u00e5gornas obevekliga rytm.  <\/p>\n\n<p>I det \u00f6gonblicket visste vi att vi var i sv\u00e5ra sv\u00e5righeter.<\/p>\n\n<p>Vi satte snabbt ig\u00e5ng en frenetisk men samordnad insats.\nMed beslutsamhet klippte vi alla linjer och s\u00e5g till att allt fl\u00f6t fritt.\nSamtidigt aktiverade vi <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/sv\/news\/vad-ar-en-nodlagesindikerande-radiofyr-eller-epirb\/\">EPIRB<\/a> (Emergency Position Indicator Rescue Beacon), eftersom vi inte kunde vara s\u00e4kra p\u00e5 om masten eller annat skr\u00e4p hade punkterat skrovet.\nEn skr\u00e4mmande uppgift l\u00e5g framf\u00f6r oss n\u00e4r vi tog en b\u00e5gfil till f\u00f6ren och arbetade p\u00e5 att sk\u00e4ra bort staget som fortfarande kl\u00e4ngde ih\u00e4rdigt.\nVanten p\u00e5 den \u00e5terst\u00e5ende sidan, de p\u00e5 lovartflanken, sl\u00e4pptes och masten sj\u00f6nk ner i Atlantens djup.  <\/p>\n\n<p>V\u00e5r kurs \u00e4ndrades, vi var nu p\u00e5 v\u00e4g tillbaka mot Kanarie\u00f6arna och vi kopplade in motorn f\u00f6r att driva oss sj\u00e4lva p\u00e5 v\u00e5r f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrade bana.\n Idun tog tag i satellittelefonen, ringde v\u00e5r n\u00f6dkontakt, som redan hade larmats av norska kustbevakningen.\n En stund senare kontaktade Madrids r\u00e4ddningstj\u00e4nst oss f\u00f6r att fr\u00e5ga om vi beh\u00f6vde hj\u00e4lp.\n Efter en noggrann kontroll av skrovets insida, som bekr\u00e4ftade att det f\u00f6rblev vattent\u00e4tt, kunde vi vidarebefordra meddelandet att n\u00f6dsignalen kunde avbrytas.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Mitt i pr\u00f6vningen visade <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/sv\/products\/rescueme-epirb1\/\">rescueME EPIRB1<\/a> , v\u00e5r str\u00e5le av hopp, sitt v\u00e4rde.\n Detta fungerade utan problem, vilket fick v\u00e5r n\u00f6dkontakt att vidta \u00e5tg\u00e4rder och utl\u00f6ste ett samtal till Madrids larmcentral.\n Det var en lugnande p\u00e5minnelse om att \u00e4ven i de mest pr\u00f6vande situationer, n\u00e4r det ov\u00e4ntade h\u00e4nder p\u00e5 \u00f6ppet hav, kan f\u00f6rberedelser och p\u00e5litlig utrustning g\u00f6ra stor skillnad.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Innan vi gav oss ut p\u00e5 v\u00e5r Atlantbana tog vi ett avg\u00f6rande beslut: att skaffa Ocean Signal <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansignal.com\/sv\/products\/rescueme-epirb1\/\">rescueME EPIRB1<\/a> .\n Det var ett oumb\u00e4rligt till\u00e4gg till v\u00e5r resa, ett skyddsn\u00e4t som tr\u00f6stade oss i sv\u00e5ra tider.\n \u00c4ven om vi inte beh\u00f6vde hj\u00e4lp den h\u00e4r g\u00e5ngen ins\u00e5g vi vikten av denna viktiga enhet.\n Han hade varit v\u00e5r v\u00e5rdnadshavare i ett annars farligt \u00f6gonblick, vilket \u00e4r ett bevis p\u00e5 hans p\u00e5litlighet och den tr\u00f6st han erbj\u00f6d i en sv\u00e5r situation.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Med tv\u00e5 bes\u00e4ttningsmedlemmar p\u00e5b\u00f6rjade vi v\u00e5r resa fr\u00e5n Las Palmas de Gran Canaria till Martinique ombord p\u00e5 v\u00e5r \u00e4lskade 1986 Scanmar 33 segelb\u00e5t .
