I would like to take the opportunity to thank Lusty & Blundell for the import of these devices, which played a critical role in a recent emergency. On the 20th of February, while we were hiking in the mountains, my wife sustained a severe injury to her leg, ultimately resulting in a broken bone. With the sun setting and darkness fast approaching, we decided to camp overnight and wait until morning. We knew that attempting a rescue in the dark would be dangerous. Not only for us but also for any potential rescuers.<\/p>\n

At first light, I activated the rescueME PLB 1<\/a> device. About 50 minutes later, the Hastings rescue helicopter spotted us. The crew immediately transported my wife to Hastings Hospital, where she underwent surgery. The experience was both terrifying and relieving. I was amazed at how easy the device was to use. It even flashed a light when it operated, reassuring me that it was functioning properly.<\/p>\n

The sense of relief and gratitude I felt in that moment was overwhelming. Knowing that help was on the way meant I did not have to leave my wife\u2019s side. I could stay with her instead of trying to find a way to carry her out of the mountains on my own. There was no way I could manage that, especially in the dark, and I was grateful that we could safely wait for daylight before activating the PLB. It gave me the confidence to remain calm and focused on supporting my wife until help arrived.<\/p>\n

In the end, the Personal Locator Beacon made all the difference for us. It was an invaluable tool that allowed for quick and safe rescue. I highly recommend this unit to my friends and anyone who ventures into the outdoors. It\u2019s an essential piece of equipment for ensuring safety in challenging situations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
